The Sun’s Calvert Street buildings sold for $15.5 million

The two properties that comprise the current Baltimore Sun complex settled last month for a total purchase price of $15.5 million.

The properties — on 5.5 acres at 401, 501 and 601 N. Calvert St. — were sold to Atapco Properties by Chicago-based Tribune Media in late May.

Tribune Media owned The Sun prior to jettisoning the local newspaper in 2014 when it became a part of a newly formed media company, tronc. The media giant purchased the Calvert Street properties in 2008 for $15.2 million,…
