Former Howard County farmland being transformed into 23-acre industrial park

Construction of a new 23-acre industrial park on some of the last parcels of former farmland in Howard County has broken ground.

The Terrapin Commerce Center is expected to open in the fourth quarter this year at 7200 and 7171 Dorsey Run Road in Elkridge.

The development will have two large warehouse buildings totaling 219,500 square feet, said Allan Riorda, a principal at in the local office of Lee & Associates, who is a broker for the property along with his partner, Tom Whelan.
