Maryland regulators suspend Evergreen Health from market as investor seeks to save it

The Maryland Insurance Administration issued an administrative order on Thursday prohibiting Evergreen Health from making any future payments or transfers of assets without prior approval — essentially barring the company from selling insurance in the state. The order follows an announcement late Wednesday of the failure of a planned acquisition deal for the carrier.
