Grubhub to acquire 27 of OrderUp’s markets, 60 employees to be laid off

Grubhub has reached an agreement with Groupon to acquire all 27 of OrderUp’s company-owned food delivery markets, including Baltimore.

Once the deal closes, Grubhub will take over the markets from Baltimore-based OrderUp. At that point, the OrderUp app and website will begin redirecting to Grubhub’s ordering platforms. However, there will still be 11 franchised cities where OrderUp will continue to operate, including Eugene, Oregon; Bloomington, Indiana and Boulder, Colorado.

Not all of those markets…
