Johns Hopkins rises one spot on U.S. News’ ranking of best hospitals

Johns Hopkins Hospitals rose one spot to No. 3 on U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of the country’s top hospitals, climbing up the list after ranking fourth last year, the lowest ranking ever for the Baltimore-based health care system.

The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota ranked first on the list, followed by the Cleveland Clinic. Massachusetts General Hospital, which ranked third last year, fell one spot behind Hopkins.
