Bethesda company with device to instantly assess brain injuries lands $16M

BrainScope Co. Inc., which makes a portable device that can quickly assess traumatic brain injuries, has completed a $16 million round of equity financing featuring a new investor.

The Bethesda company said Thursday that DBL Partners joined previous investors Revolution LLC, ZG Ventures and Maryland Venture Fund in the raise.

The financing will fund commercial sales efforts and additional research and development.
