Highlandtown’s Gnocco tweaks its name after copyright dispute

After more than two years as a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant called Gnocco, the Highlandtown concept is changing its name.

Over the weekend, the restaurant at 3734 Fleet St. will become Gnocchetto, an Italian word meaning “small dumpling.” The change is due to a copyright dispute with a New York restaurant bearing the same name.

Towson mall’s IndiBowl expanding, opening soon at Mt. Vernon Marketplace

IndiBowl, a fast-casual Indian eatery in the Towson Town Center food court, has its eyes on expanding into Baltimore City — and beyond.

Co-owner Ravi Kuriseti said he plans to open a second location of the restaurant within the Mt. Vernon Marketplace this November. He’s also looking at other markets in the city, and hopes to have at least five IndiBowls open by the end of next year.
