Preppy Cohen’s Clothiers to close for good after 115 years

Cohen’s Clothiers — where generations of Greater Baltimore shoppers have bought preppy plaids and Oxford shirts — is closing for good.

The Cockeysville store at 64 Cranbrook Rd. will begin a liquidation sale Wednesday and shutter in the coming weeks, owner Gilbert Cohen said on social media and in an email blast to customers Sunday.

“It’s been a great run; but with our lease set to expire, for me the time has come to retire from retail and move on,” Cohen wrote.
